Importance of Identity Digitalisation

Identity registration and issuance, along with authentication, is not a new subject which been adopted by governments and organization widely with thier own custom processes and procedures. Rapidly growing demand of digitalisation in every verticals, increased the necessary demand of KYC, and since the identity theft is becoming the major crime around the globe, governments and regulators are implementing tough measures and compliance to Identity programms.

in Yospace, we recommend a centrally registered Identification Number in the form of an Electronic Smart Card, linked with biometrics and advanced measures of security, with encrypted transactions and digital signature verifications. In current implementations, we have experienced multiple identity cards issued to same person, by different departments, ministries or authorities, which causes

  1. Unnecessary replication of data
  2. wastage of efforts and resources
  3. fragmented informations
  4. contradicting informations in some cases
  5. increasing cost of maintenance and management.

We believe in single identity under a national agency, which become the authority and provides information and authentication services through API integrations to institutions, on need to know basis. Organizations such as, but not limited to All Ministries, Security Agencies, Educational sectors, Farming & Agricultural sectors, SME Sectors, Finance & Banking sectors, Health, Welfare, Autonomous Agencies, Regulatory Authorities, Autonomous Bodies etc, becomes the stake holders and beneficiary of this service.

Our solutions include an integrated fintech deployment for bulk payment disbursement and processing digitally. In such cases, the system shall be used for day-to-day financial transactions of their beneficiaries, which reduces the fraudulent transaction and the cost involved in cash management.

Digital Onboarding

Enrollment system is an integral part of the National ID Platform, where the Citizens registration process happens. Considering the current infrastructure and technical literacy of the people, the registration process should happen through either governmental agencies or an outsourced model through private agencies.

Governmental Agency Model

  1. Trusted Environment
  2. Under direct control
  3. Public asset for continuous process
  4. High reliability
Existing governmental agencies can be converted or added with an additional function for ID registration centre by training and adding additional infrastructure. Under National Identity Bureau, Government can recruit more educated and young talents, which can result to additional employment opportunities. Registration fees, Integration fees, Transaction fees etc… shall become additional revenue channel for the bureau to work as an autonomous financial institution, under the government.

Outsourced Agency Model

  1. Moderate Trust
  2. Under Supervision
  3. Less immediate cost to government
  4. Licensing revenue
  5. Revenue share business model
Private agencies can act on behalf of the government to act as National Identity Registration Centres. Revenue models and business models shall be determined by the government and agreed with the private agencies. In outsourced model, the implementation shall be faster. No additional infrastructure and resource cost to the government.

The system allows integration with approved agencies and organizations for data validation, Information authentication or emergency information pull. All such integrations shall be with highly secured authentication process. API’s (Application Interfaces) shall be provided for secure access of the services for the identified and approved agencies and government departments. The data and service access shall be strictly controlled as per the access control policy for each accessing party.
